Senior Manager, IT Compliance, plays a pivotal role in overseeing
and reporting on the SOX risk and compliance needs of the IT
organization. The responsibilities encompass ensuring regular
technical risk assessments are conducted for in-scope applications
and the underlying infrastructure, as well as cultivating robust
partnerships with both IT and audit teams to optimize internal and
external audit and assessment processes. In addition, the Senior
Manager, will be a strategic partner and assist IT control owners
help ensure that our IT operations remain SOX compliant ,
contributing to the overall success of the
organization.----PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:--
- A hands-on leader and IT SOX Compliance subject matter expert
who works with IT, accounting and cross-functional process owners
to help achieve ongoing design, reviewing, improving, and
remediating controls for SOX.
- A change agent, influencer, cross-functional leader and
collaborator to drive and facilitate on-going SOX IT compliance
training programs for IT process and IT control owners.
- Serve as a consultant to the control owners --on control design
and remediation, as well as, assist with identification of controls
as a result of people, process, and system changes.
- Independently identify, assess, and report on the IT
organization's risk management activities, policy gaps
- Acts as the day-to-day point of contact for both external audit
and internal audit in IT SOX related matters including but not
limited to communicating the status of IT SOX activities,
coordinating the performance of work to be performed on behalf of
the external auditor, ensuring the timeliness of deliverables to
the external auditor.
- Consult/collaborate with IT leadership, IT Information
Security, Internal Audit, and external auditing consultants-- to
ensure SOX compliance.
- Responds to IT SOX compliance violations or incidents promptly
and partners with stakeholders to develop and ensure implementation
for corrective actions.
- Establish IT SOX framework, policies and standards.
- Manages a team responsible for report preparation, obtaining
updated compliance metrics, and tracking deficiencies to be
remediated.
- Oversees and monitors corrective actions, validation processes,
timely remediation of issues, and self-assurance activities.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.--
QUALIFICATIONS:--
- 5+ years in leadership level experience in managing an IT audit
function
- In-depth knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
- At least 3 years of experience working for a public (Big 4 or
Tier II National) accounting firm serving a public registrant.
- Strong understanding of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, the 2013 COSO
framework, and SEC guidance for management's assessment of internal
controls over financial reporting
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT audit for Sarbanes-Oxley
compliance.--
- Recent hands-on SOX experience including successful remediation
of compliance deficiencies is strongly preferred--MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:--
- Minimum of 7 years of combined public (Big 4 or Tier II
National) accounting experience or public company
