  • Job Details
  • Hospital in central AZ in need of travel RNs for a Med Surg, Tele. PCU float pool.
  • 2 years of recent med surg/tele experience and 1 year of PCU experience required.
    • Job Requirements
    • Must have ACLS, BLS
    • Must have reading basic tele strips experience
    • Some experience with CVA and TIA
    • Cerner experience recommended as there is only one day of orientation
    • Total joint replacement experience
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts are 7-7
      • Schedules are made out for 4 weeks
      • Self scheduling is used but not final until the manager balances
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit: Telemetry- WC-Cardiac/Medical 3rd Floor
        • # Beds: 49
        • Ratios: 1:5
        • Common diagnosis/Types of patients: CHF, COVID, resp, GI, Diabetics, Tele, post cath, total joint replacement
        • Are RN's required to titrate drips: no
        • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: we take Diltiazem/Cardizem drips at a set rate
        • Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Do RN's read strips? Yes, RN's are required to interpret strips and sign at least once a shift
        • Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Both
        • Are there Nurse Aides on this unit/Ratios: Yes 1:10-15
        • RT/Equipment (ie Cpap, Bipap, High Flow): BiPap, CPAP, breathing treatments
        • Floating Requirements: Yes, they may float to East Campus, and possibly PCU if qualified
        • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy Blue
        • Unit/Department Specific Orientation: 1 Shift of orientation on the unit
        • EOW, Days, Must work Christmas
          • Additional Details
          • Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends per 4 week schedule
          • Holiday Requirement: work 2 days and an eve or 2 eves and a day (Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day, Thanksgiving Day)
