• Certification Details
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required.
• TNCC is preferred but not essential.
• Current nursing licensure in Arizona or in a compact state.
  • Job Details
  • THIS POSITION REQUIRES A FULL 3 YEARS OF ICU EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED.
  • The right candidate will have 3 full years of current ICU experience and hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS and AZ license or compact license (TNCC is preferred).
  • Travelers could also float to the sister facility Mercy Gilbert, if needed.
  • Typically, every other weekend is required but might have to work 3 weekends a month if unit is busy and needs extra coverage.
  • Flexibility is a must.
  • Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts.
  • There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation (study guides will be provided with the first day instructions).
  • COVID vaccine is required or declination form with appropriate documentation AND hospital approval.

    • Active Arizona or compact nursing license.
    • Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts.
    • Completion of a pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation.
      • Schedule Information
      • Flexibility with weekend work is required.
      • Self-scheduling policy in place.
      • Manager may adjust shifts to balance unit needs.
      • Weekends may include every other weekend or up to 3 weekends in a month during busy times.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • SICU - Trauma Neuro Surgery unit specifications like nurse to patient ratios, types of patients, common diagnoses, and float requirements.
        • Medical ICU - Medical Cardiac + Overflow unit details.
          • Additional Details
          • May have to work 3 weekends a month if unit is busy and needs extra coverage.
          • Flexibility with schedule is important.
          • Able to interpret own monitoring strips.
