• Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (WITH 2 MAX ATTEMPTS), within 48 hours of offer.

  • A hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced nurses for a travel contract for their MS/Tele float pool.
  • Travelers are required to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to starting (2 max attempts) and will take a pass/fail Sim lab on day 1 of orientation.
  • COVID vaccine is required or declination form with supporting documentation from clergy or MD.
    • Job Requirements
    • The right candidate will have 2+ years of current tele experience.
    • An active BLS, ACLS and AZ license or compact.
    • Travelers must be able to titrate drips.
      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hr shifts. 7-7.
      • Every other weekend.
      • 4 weekend shifts per 4 week period (days - Sat, Sun, nights - Fri, Sat).
      • One major and minor holiday.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • - Unit: CV Tele B3A, A3 Neuro, MedSurg C5, MedSurg B2C
        • - # beds :32 bed, 28 bed, 32 beds, 29 beds
        • - Certs: BLS, ACLS (all units), NIHSS (for A3 Neuro)
        • - Ratios: 1:3-4, 1:4 ratio
        • - Charge Nurse: Yes, no patient assignment. Also have a Clinical Supervisor in a management role.
        • - Techs/PCTs: 1 per every 16 patients (or variation at night for certain units).
        • - Common diagnosis/Types of patients: Post cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG patients, general tele, Neuro post surgical, post cranis, spine, CVAs post TPA, General MedSurg patients requiring tele, Surgery (Ortho, Urological, Abdominal, Whipple, Women's surgeries), Oncology.
          • Additional Details
          • Floating is required depending on skill level.
          • Nurses will float to ICU, Cardiac Tele, as well as all Tele units, MedSurg, any & every holding area.
          • Notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hrs prior to shift start.
          • Floating to different units mid-shift can happen, though it is rare to float to another campus within a single shift.
          • The distance between the 2 campuses is 9 miles, all interstate.
