qualified PCU RN in Chandler, Arizona, 85224 About The Position Job
Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Stepdown Job Duration:
13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights, every other weekend, first to
float; may float to sister facility Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per
week Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required, no
exceptions License: Required to submit Certifications: ACLS, BLS,
NIHSS Must-Have: Skills in EKG monitoring, ability to titrate
cardiac, heparin, Lasix, bumex, etc., and interpret EKGs Job
Description: - Work in a 30-bed CHF Telemetry unit with a
staff-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4 - Administer and monitor titratable
and set-rate drips, including cardiac, heparin, Lasix, and bumex -
Collaborate with a charge nurse who does not take patient
assignments and a manager - Work alongside Patient Care Technicians
at a ratio of 1 per 15 patients - Utilize respiratory therapy
equipment such as nasal cannula, and BiPap/CPap for obstructive
sleep apnea - Interpret EKGs independently using centralized
telemetry; tele monitors brand provided on-site - Engage in
self-scheduling for 12-hour shifts from 7-7 - Fulfill weekend
requirements of working every other weekend - Meet holiday
requirements involving availability for 2 major and 2 minor
holidays, depending on contract dates - No "On Call" requirement;
standby dependent on fluctuating census - Float to any telemetry
floor as needed - Wear navy scrubs as per the dress code policy -
Undergo a department-specific orientation involving 2 days on the
floor - Care for patients with common diagnoses such as CHF,
general telemetry-related issues, fluid overload, shortness of
breath, arrhythmias, and ETOH Note: The hospital may cancel up to 3
times per contract, with each cancellation applying to either a
full or partial shift. The charting system used is Cerner.
