  • Job Requirements
  • Experience or 'Must have' skills: At least 2 years of ICU experience or one year of ICU and one year of PCU/Med Surg in larger facilities with strong skills
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
  • Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes
  • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Sedation, vasopressors, insulin
  • RNs must be able to take 12-lead EKG
  • RNs must be able to monitor ICU patients per Bedside Cardiac monitor
    • Schedule Information
    • Shifts & Scheduling: 12-hour shifts, 0700/1900 - 1930/0730
    • Weekend Requirement: every other weekend, specific days depending on shift
    • Holiday Requirement: Holiday rotation to distribute holidays fairly
    • Is there a call or standby requirement?: If low census, staff rotates standby turns
      • Unit Specific Information
      • Floating Requirements: Float to EC MST & Pediatric unit to care for adult MST, West Campus in Prescott for ICU & PCU
      • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any scrub color except camouflage
      • Unit/Department specific orientation: Based on EOW, Nights, Holiday Rotation
        • Additional Details
        • Number of beds: 10
        • Ratios depend on acuity: ICU 1:2, PCU 1:4, MST 1:5-6; if no nurse aid: 1:3 primary care
        • Common diagnoses/Types of Patients: Sepsis, suicide attempts, drug or alcohol withdrawal, COPD, respiratory arrest, pneumonia, COVID, DKAm blood pressure or heart rate abnormalities
        • Post-op complications
        • Experience with non-titratable infusions to maintain heart rate or blood pressure
