Our focus is on providing integrated care tailored to the specific requirements of young children with autism.Role Overview:As an OT at Soar, you will:
  • Implement naturalistic occupational therapy for children aged 2-6 years in a center-based setting, with a focus on autism
  • Craft interventions aimed at improving gross motor, fine motor skills, feeding practices, and daily living activities tailored to the needs of children with autism
  • Perform multidisciplinary assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with other clinical areas (ABA, speech therapy, psychology), including co-treatments with speech therapists
  • Mentor and guide a team of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to integrate OT goals into their therapy, enhancing their approach to autism care
  • Monitor the progress of clients, update treatment plans and goals, and communicate necessary adjustments to team members and families
  • Collaborate closely with families of children with autism, setting goals, building relationships, sharing progress, and providing coaching and support on their journeyQualifications:
    • A degree in Occupational Therapy with a focus on pediatrics or a similar field
    • Current licensure as a Occupational Therapist
    • Experience in working with children with autism or related developmental disorders
    • Strong understanding of and commitment to early intervention and integrated care approaches
    • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a passion for supporting the growth and development of children with autismWhat You'll Get
