• The right candidate... will hold an active BLS, ACLS and AZ license or compact.

  • The right candidate will have 2+ years of current tele experience (including Neuro experience).
  • Travelers could also float to sister facility, Mercy Gilbert, if needed.
  • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Neuro post surgical, post cranis, spine, CVAs post TPA.
    • Job Requirements
    • Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts.
    • There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation (study guides will be provided with the first day instructions).

      • Shifts: 12 hr shifts. 7-7.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit: D4 Neuro
        • # beds: 28 bed
        • Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
        • Ratios: 1:3-4
        • Additional Notes: No ICP monitoring.; EOW; first to float.

          • ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; Medical Solutions will prescreen, Auto Offer off of Prescreen Recommendation
          • Minimum 2 years of experience - must be recent, within the past 6 months.
          • **COVID vaccine is required, or religious or medical declination form (with appropriate documentation).
          • ***Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving offer, through RELIAS, only (with 2 MAX attempts).
          • There will be a Pass/Fail exam on day 1 of orientation, with an emphasis on sterile field. Study materials will be provided with first day instructions, so please make sure travelers are up to date on proper sterile techniques.
          • Charge Nurse: Yes, no patient assignment. Also have a Clinical Supervisor in a management role.
          • Techs: PCTs - 1 per every 16 patients.
          • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
          • Scrub Color: Navy
          • Tele: Centralized tele. RNs must be able to interpret EKGs.
          • Vents: No
          • Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Hospitalist rounds during the day and on call at night.
          • IV Team: No
          • RT 24/7: Yes
          • Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
          • Floor specific orientation: 2 days on the floor.
