Job Summary: Performs diagnostic MRI exams, verifies patient identity, and explains procedure risks and benefits to patients. Requires a Registered Radiologic Technologist (R) certification and 1+ year of experience in Radiology or MRI. Must be able to work effectively in a complex environment and prioritize multiple tasks.

• Performs diagnostic MRI exams, verifies patient identity, and reviews medical records.
• Explains procedure risks, benefits, and side effects to patients and updates medical history.
• Acquires images, reviews findings, and documents exceptions from established protocols.
• Responds to medical emergencies and provides post-care instructions.
• Participates in process improvement activities and provides imaging education to residents and new employees.Qualifications:
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (R) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) training.
  • 1+ year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or advanced certification in MRI.Skills:
    • Analytical and clinical skills to determine patient-specific imaging methods.
    • Interpersonal and communication skills to work with patients and hospital personnel.
    • Technical knowledge to operate equipment and computer systems.
    • Ability to work productively and effectively in a complex environment.Job Type: Full-time. Location: Detroit, MI. Facility: DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital. Shift Type: Evening.
