About the Role & TeamThe Lead Technical Producer, Communications
Events, is part of a team that plans, develops and produces
large-scale, complex and high-profile media, marketing, and
internal events in support of the Disney Experiences (DX) segment.
The role's primary focus is Disney Consumer Products but may also
support other DX Communications event portfolios. The Lead
Technical Producer will collaborate and communicate with the
stakeholders for events, meetings, and conferences across the
globe, providing project management and technical expertise.What
You Will Do
- Oversee and manage high impact and high-profile technical
projects.
- Work alongside and advise event managers and clients on the
technical production required for all Disney Consumer Products
events.
- Design, source, bid, and execute technical solutions for
events, meetings, and conferences in various locations around the
world - including negotiating and managing technology vendors for
A/V needs.
- Create and maintain budgets for all technical aspects of events
- including sourced third-party vendors and equipment.
- Identify and direct content needs for events, including video
playback and Keynote/PowerPoint presentations.
- Specify and organize equipment for various production and event
needs.
- Develop plan and process to access company owed production
spaces and manage inventory control for in-house event
equipment.
- Serve as liaison with executive and talent presenters to gather
and troubleshoot presentations, determine playback support, and
fix/provide solutions live on site in real time.
- Determine and hire local labor support as needed to execute
events.
- Direct local technical crews on site during load-in, event, and
load-out as needed.
- Set up and operate small to mid-size event presentation
equipment as necessary.
- Identify new vendors, resources, and technology trends.Required
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of Technical Event Production.
- You are creative, nimble, disruptive to the status quo, and
genuinely optimistic.
- You offer a fresh perspective and remain laser focused on ROI
and relevancy.
- Strong technical, project leadership, and verbal and written
communication skills.
- Identify complex situations and respond appropriately by
recommending best practices.
- Proven working knowledge and experience in corporate
presentation, A/V, and theatrical technologies.
- Strong understanding of technical and stage union rules, as
well as Florida and California labor laws.
- Strong computer skills on both Mac and PC operating systems and
file formats and with software that may include QuickTime,
Photoshop, Keynote, Vectorworks, Dante Controller, Playback Pro,
Premiere Pro, iTunes, Zoom, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and
other webcast/streaming platforms.
- Ability to work flexible work hours, including nights and
weekends with ability to travel.
- Ability to lift 50lbs, and on occasion work at variable heights
and in tight places.Preferred Qualifications
- Management of a broadcast studio.
- Good knowledge of the Disney brand, processes and
culture.EducationBachelor's Degree in technical theatre, graphic
design, technical design, information technology, web design,

The hiring range for this position in California is $102,000 to
$136,700 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into
account internal equity and also may vary depending on the
candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and
experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive
units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in
addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other
benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
